About Dr Dina Saks

Dr Dina Saks is a tertiary trained Surgical Oncologist and General Surgeon with sub-specialty training in melanoma and advanced skin cancers.
Dr Saks undertook her medical training in Sydney, studying medicine at the University of New South Wales and graduating with Honours in 2009. In 2015, Dr Saks was selected for specialist training in General Surgery and awarded her Fellowship by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2020. During this time, she completed a Master Of Surgery at the University of Sydney.
After obtaining her fellowship, Dr Saks completed two further sub- specialty fellowships in melanoma and surgical oncology. The first was at the internationally renowned Melanoma Institute Australia with a focus on the detection and treatment of melanoma and the second at Westmead Hospital, combining her interest in melanoma surgery with soft tissue sarcomas.
In addition, Dr Saks has maintained a passion for teaching, having held associate lecturer positions at the University of New South Wales. She has published in peer reviewed journals and presented nationally and internationally.
Dr Saks is passionate about providing individualised, evidence-based care to all her patients. She knows that the best outcomes are achieved through excellent communication with patients, their families and treating team. Dr Saks employs a multidisciplinary approach to surgical oncology and complex cases are discussed with a range of specialties to ensure patients receive a holistic approach to their care.
